BitBlur LLC (“BitBlur”, “we”) runs bitblurs.com and BitBlur’s own social media accounts. This page explains what information we collect, why, who helps us process it, and how to reach us. Questions: create@bitblurs.com.

What we collect on bitblurs.com

Contact form

When you send the form on our contact page, we receive your first and last name, email address, company or project name (optional), the type of project you pick (optional) and your message. The form is delivered to us through Formspree, a form-handling service. We use it only to reply to you and to discuss your project.

Email

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies; it records the page, the referring site, the browser, operating system and device type, and an approximate location (country, region, city), and it identifies a visit with a temporary hash that is discarded after 24 hours. The site also loads the Google tag (Google Analytics), which can set cookies and records similar page-view and device information. You can block these cookies in your browser or use Google’s opt-out add-on.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes technical request data such as IP address and browser details to deliver the site and keep it secure.

BitBlur’s social media publishing

BitBlur posts its own content to its own accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, Bluesky, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube. An automated publisher does this through each platform’s official API; TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn posts are scheduled through Buffer.

  • The publisher only creates BitBlur’s own posts. It does not read, collect or store comments, messages, followers or anyone else’s profile or content.
  • It keeps a record of BitBlur’s own posts (post IDs, links and times) and the access keys for BitBlur’s own accounts. The keys are stored as encrypted secrets and are never shared.
  • Information we receive from these platforms’ APIs is used only to publish and confirm BitBlur’s posts. It is not sold and not used for advertising.
  • When you like, comment on or follow a BitBlur post, that platform’s own privacy policy applies. Replies from BitBlur are written by a person.

YouTube

When BitBlur’s YouTube integration is enabled, BitBlur uses YouTube API Services to upload videos to BitBlur’s own channel. By watching or interacting with those videos you are subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Access granted to BitBlur’s app can be revoked at any time from Google account permissions.

How we use information

  • To answer your inquiry and, if we work together, to run your project.
  • To understand which pages are visited, in aggregate, and improve the site.
  • To keep the site and our accounts secure.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with others for their own marketing. We share it only with the service providers that run our site and tools (such as Vercel, Formspree, Google, GitHub and Buffer), and only as needed for them to provide their service, or when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep contact messages and emails for as long as we need them to respond and to keep normal business records, then delete them. Analytics data is kept according to the providers’ settings. Records of BitBlur’s own posts are kept as part of our publishing history.

Your choices and deleting your data

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Email create@bitblurs.com with the subject “Delete my data” and the email address you used. We will confirm and complete the request within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them.

Children

This site and our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information, including encrypted storage for access keys and two-factor authentication on our accounts. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date at the top.
